US Box-office Report: ‘X-men: Apocalypse’ Beats ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’

After the Superheros ruled the theatres for weeks, Now The ‘X-Men’ Days of future past has collected $265 million since its release Worldwide!

The X-Men: Apocalypse directed by Bryan Singer beat “Alice Through the Looking Glass”. It was released in 4,150 theaters. It was well received because people were voting it out to be plain in comparison with Days of Future Past but it wasn’t the case!

The recently released “The Angry Birds Movie” is doing great on U.S box-office. The movie based on the popular mobile game managed to mint a whooping amount of $39 million in its first weekend in the domestic market.

X-Men: Apocalypse is minting superhero-sized collection at US box office, pulling in $65M in this weekend followed by Alice Through the Looking Glass with $28.11M and The Angry Birds Movie with $18.70M.

Until now the top movies of this year are Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Deadpool and Finding Dory followed by Jungle Book and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.

Alice 2 grossed only 10% of what X-Men made. A $28.1 million from 3,763 theatres. The reviews for the movie werent great plus the latest accusation on Johnny Depp, star of Through the Looking Glass rolled out. His wife, Amber Heard accused him of Physical assault. This affected the Tim Burton’s movie which was a sequel to Alice in Wonderland which opened to a stunning $116 million in 2010.

Captain America: Civil War earned another $15.1 million on its fourth weekend (-54%) to bring its total collection to an amazing $374million. Deadpool raked in $376 million since its release worldwide. It may reach $400m within next two weeks.

Finding Dory is at an unimaginable $1.1076 billion. This is the 15th biggest movie of all time with one of the biggest collections!

Disney’s The Jungle Book added around $9 million last week to build a new $341 million. The jungle adventure has been slipped to sixth position. Must watch these highest Hollywood grossers!
