The Jungle Book Reaches Rs 100cr Mark | Box-office Update

The Walt Disney Co.’s “The Jungle Book” is still going super strong in Indian screens even after 10 days of its release. The craze among the viewers to watch children’s classic story which is brought back to life in “The Jungle Book” is increasing with each day passing. Check out its impact over the box-office in Indian as well as Overseas.

The Jungle Book is not only dominating screens in India but Overseas too. It reaches Rs 100 crore mark in just 10 days (India biz). Isn’t the numbers amazing! The flick has already past early estimates of its box-office collection.

The trade analyst ‘Taran Adarsh’ tweeted the fabulous numbers bagged by the film in its 2nd weekend. The film managed to mint Rs 8.02 cr on Friday, Rs 8.51 cr on Saturday, Rs 10.67 cr on Sunday making a total of ₹ 101.82 cr nett at the end of its 2nd weekend over the Indian box-office.

The great numbers are backed by highly positive critics review, rating and huge response from moviegoers around the globe. Jon Favreau directorial “The Jungle Book” has successfully turned a classic cartoon into live-action adventure.

If we believe online sources then “The Jungle Book” is the third-highest grossing Hollywood release after 10 days on Indian screens.

The flick is dominating US box-office too as it took the top spot at the U.S. box office this weekend with earning of $103.5 million in its first frame.

The numbers from North America’s box-office also speaks of its success. The Jungle Book opened with $103.6 million in North America, making it one of the biggest April debuts at the box office.
