Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer “Sarbjit” opened with decent numbers at the box-office on 20th May. Its day 1 Friday box-office number is much less than our expectations. Check out the exact figure Sarbjit minted on its opening day.
The film received good reviews from the viewers and critics but failed to give any significant performance at the box-office. With collection of Rs 3.69 crore from Indian screens, the film failed to woo the viewers on big screens. The numbers are revealed by trade analyst ‘Taran Adarsh’ through his official Twitter handle.
Randeep Hooda as Sarbjit has given exceptionally good performance and his character struck right chord with the audience but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Dalbir Kaur seems loudy. The good narration made the viewers feel the pain of Sarbjit and many like him.
With the release of Mahesh Babu starrer “Brahmotsavam”, it failed to attract audience from the South region of India. The flick marked its presence somewhat in Delhi and East Punjab. The reports coming from other areas are not at all encouraging for the film makers.
The evening and night shows of ‘Sarbjit’ witnessed a little surge in viewers so lets hope the film will pull more audience on Saturday and Sunday which gonna help it to post a good number in its opening weekend.
#Sarbjit Fri ₹ 3.69 cr. India biz… Had better occupancy in evening/night shows.

The movie’s emotional story and performances of the lead actors might help the flick to gain a good hold over the box-office in coming days. Its day 2 i.e Saturday’s numbers will decide the fate of this movie at the box-office.
Another Hollywood movie “X men: Apocalypse” marked its entry into Indian screens this week. Not surprisingly the Hollywood flicks are outperforming Bollywood movies and the same is expected this time too. The film is expected to cross ‘Sarbjit’ day 1 box-office collection and do a business of more than Rs 4 crore.
