The Bollywood upcoming film “Udta Punjab” is the most controversial film of this year and its controversies doesnt seem to take rest. Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh starrer ‘Udta Punjab’ has garnered a lot of buzz since its first look has been released.
Though there is good news too for its viewers that the film directed by Abhishek Chaubey has not been banned but Censor Board’s Examining Committee (EC) allegedly asked them to cut over 40 scenes from the movie.
Thats a huge cute i must say. And cuts are not enough for the film as now it is required to be set on a fictional land rather than ‘Punjab’. As per reports available online, the film makers have been asked to remove word ‘Punjab’ for its title and any reference to the state’s name should also be removed.
Earlier also we have seen such incidences when the film makers of Ram Leela was also changed the official title of the film just 48 hours prior to its release. And if the history is repeated again is a thing to wait and watch.
Udta Punjab is about the famed Punjabi spirit, that despite being slightly down, has the audacity of looking you in the eye and saying – Drugs di maa di! Balaji Motion Pictures presents – Udta Punjab, a Phantom production, Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, which is set to release on 17th June,2016.
