Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor boarded a local train journey to promote his latest action and drama series, 24’s season 2. The 24 season 2 is one of the most awaited shows on television.
But the out of the way promotion has landed the star in trouble. He was leaning out of the moving train during promotion. As fans and media persons also followed him, his pictures during the journey went viral and within two days an official complaint was launched against his stunts.
A Mumbai NGO Sahas Foundation demanded strict action against veteran over his ‘stunts’ in train. Its president Sayed Furqan Ahmed lodged a complaint with Railway Police Commissioner Niket Kaushik saying that the actor’s stunts were punishable under the Indian Railways Act.
So as a result the Western Railway sought an explanation from the production house. Both the railways and Ahmed felt this act could provoke youngsters as such acts increases casualties among youth performing such stunts.
Footboard travel and leaning out of a moving train has caused many deaths in the past years. He said that huge money is spent on spreading awareness to deter youngsters from performing such acts. But they feel Anil Kapoor’s latest act can inspire youngsters.
Well now both the parties seek explanation and apology from Anil Kapoor. Till now, he hasn’t reacted to the news.
Anil is making a comeback with the adaptation of American TV series “24”. He plays Jai Singh Rathod and the show is to start on Colors channel from July 23.
