The plot revolves around the journey of a team of explorers who venture into an uncharted island in the Pacific. The island may look all beautiful and calm but it is not so. It is the home of mythic Kong.
The film takes place in the ’70s during the Vietnam era when the director believes we confronted myths. The island is marked by NASA’s satellite program LANDSAT launched then. Then, the team is sent to investigate.
Initially the movie was to release in December 2014, then November 2016. Now the makers have decided to release it on March 10, 2017. It will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts promises that this time the King Kong will be bigger and much more impressive. He will be taller than the last creature. The first look of the movie was released showing a still of actors Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson standing amidst the ruins of a huge creature, a skull probably of Kong.
The movie is a long and deep study and involved contribution from several script writers. The makers wanted to have a continuity from Godzilla. Eagerly awaiting the HUGE 3D King Kong on Big screens!
