The Kollywood rustic action entertainer “Maruthu” is going strong over the box-office in India and Overseas screens. The film has collected a whooping amount of approx Rs 6-8 crores since its release.
The business made by Maruthu on its opening day was around Rs 2-3 crores. The movie’s plot set in a rural background and revolves around the relationship between a man and his grandmother appealed to the masses.
After recent failurers at the box-office the actor Vishal has finally struck right chords with the audience. “Marudhu” with highly-energetic action sequences and power packed Vishal’s performances doubled the entertainment factor in the film making it a hit on big screens.
The movie released in nearly 400 screens across Tamilnadu and has got good response. It opened with good occupancy rate in theatres of its home region. This movie has stirred excitement in the audience since its first look and trailer released.
Maruthu is also being made in Telugu as Raayudu and will release on May 27th. The film is expected to do good earnings in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
