Housefull 3 touted to be first entertainment movie of 2016 is faring well at the Indian screens. Good reviews along with WOM factor helped the movie to give a sound number on its opening day at the box-office.
The morning shows on Friday showed an occupancy of 30-40% which is much better for a non-holiday. The online reports suggest that the film has minted approx Rs 14-15 cr from Indian screens on its opening day.
The numbers coming in for the flick are said to be highest non holiday start for Akshay Kumar starrer only after “Rowdy Rathod” (2012) which collected around Rs 150.6 million nett from domestic market.
The recent good releases of Akshay Kumar helped the movie to bag approx 3700 screens across India and 670 screens Overseas: 670 which is one of the higgest screen occupancy this year.
Akshay Kumar style yet again liked and applauded by masses. He always pulls off his comic role very well. Some of the critics have reviewed it as a paisa vasool family entertainer.
As its a non-stop entertainment for the entire family so we are expecting it to grab attention of family audience on Saturday and Sunday helping it to post strong numbers in its opening weekend.
As per reports the film is performing better in multiplexes as compared to single screens. We might see the film to cross Rs 20 crore mark either on its 2nd business day i.e Saturday or on its 3rd business day i.e Sunday.
The numbers pouring in from Overseas market are good and encouraging. Shortly the exact figures will be out officially. Till then stay tune with us for more latest Bollywood updates.
