Housefull 3 is off to a good start with its opening day business of approx Rs 15.21 crore. On its 2nd day of business i.e Saturday it did manage to show some growth but we were expecting the numbers to be much better. It grossed approx Rs 16.30 crore nett from Indian screens.
The hilarious comedy is attracting more viewers in multiplexes than in single screens giving multiplexes a whooping business. If the flick had done a much better business in single screens than the numbers could be on much higher side.
We are expecting it to post average growth on its 3rd business day i.e Sunday and maintain its collection on that day to be in the range of Rs 17-18 crore nett. Likewise the film gonna post its first weekend earning number to be very close to Rs 50 crore mark.
If somehow ‘Housefull 3’ manages to cross Rs 52 crore nett business then it will bag “highest” first weekend of 2016 which is now hold by SRK starrer ‘Fan’ but it seems to be much far after seeing its growth on Saturday.
If we go into the histroy of this franchise movies then Housefull in 2010 managed to mint Rs 9.32 crore while Housefull 2 in 2012 collected Rs 12.13 crore. And now Housefull 3 in 2016 showed a growth of 25% as it has done a business of Rs 15.15 crore. With each series, the franchise has shown growth of 25-30% in his business.
Housefull 2 managed to bag number 2 spot in the category of “Highest grossing comedy film” of the year only after Salman Khan starrer “Ready”. I am sure Akshay Kumar fans and admires are wishing for “Housefull 3” to be “Highest” grossing comedy movie of 2016.
‘Housefull 3’ is going strong in Overseas market too.It witnessed much higher growth in its Saturday’s business in key International markets. As revealed by trade analyst ‘Taran Adarsh’ it showed a growth of 24.20% in UK, 46.05% in AUS and 26.37% in NZ so we are expecting a strong number on its first weekend business from Overseas market.
