This week’s release “Baar Baar Dekho” starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra saw a decent box-office collection in its opening weekend from Indian and Overseas screens. Check out 1st weekend collections of the film.
The film, which sees Katrina and Sidharth in very different roles, failed to impress the audience despite positive buzz surrounding the release on 09th Sept. The box office numbers on three days clearly reflect the film’s poor performance.
Despite any other major Hindi movie releasing this weekend, it failed to cash in on the opportunity. Trade analyst wrote, “#BaarBaarDekho Fri 6.81 cr, Sat 7.65 cr. Total: ₹ 14.46 cr. India biz.” The film showed no growth on Sunday and posted an earning of 7 cr (approx) making a total of Rs 21.46 cr.
No growth in the business towards the end of the week will give rise to poor shows in the weekdays. Here is another big blow to Bollywood. The big budget Bollywood movies are failing to hold viewer’s attention in cinemas. Now only a miracle could save the film from entering ‘Top Flops 2016’ list.
Baar Baar Dekho Overseas 1st Weekend Box-office Collection
The film does a decent business in Overseas market with a collection of $2 million. Though the numbers are good but trade analysts were expecting the numbers to be much higher than this. The family movies have vast market at Overseas screens and citing this fact, Baar Baar Dekho could have cash in more numbers.
Its Overseas opening weekend numbers place the film at 8th position after Mohenjo Daro which pulled in $2.4 million in its 1st weekend. It has beaten “Dishoom” and “Ki & Ka” Overseas numbers.
